Alida (Bochner) Dahlberg, 76, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2025, at her home in North Providence, Rhode Island, surrounded by her husband and children.
Alida was born in Plainview, New York, on February 9, 1949, to the late Jack Bochner and Norma Gallo. She lived almost her whole life on Long Island, where she loved the beach, her pool, the sun, bagels, cooking, long walks with her dogs, and barbecues and dinners with family and friends. Any one of those things would bring an infectious smile to her face. You could not help but feeling loved when you were with her. Her strength and resolve was an inspiration to anyone who met her.
Later in life, she relocated to North Providence, Rhode Island, with her beloved husband of almost 40 years, Ronald J. Dahlberg, where their home became the focal point for Thanksgiving gatherings, with football games, and summer vacations for their adored children and grandchildren.
Alida is survived by her husband Ron; her children Corinne Niosi (Justin Hibey), Philip Niosi (Eva), Daniel Niosi (Marnie); her stepsons Sean (Margot) and Christopher (Jennifer) Dahlberg; her grandchildren (Thomas, Sage, Clementine, Cassidy, Marielle, Jackson, Macie and Katlyn); her brother Brian Bochner; and many, many friends.
A celebration of life will be held when the weather is warm, so we can turn our faces to the sun, smell the ocean air, and feel her love shining upon us.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation at give.epilepsy.com.
Arrangements entrusted to Skeffington Funeral Home and Cremations 925 Chalkstone Avenue Providence.
